Farewell Summer! It's been a nice ride..........

Well, the Summer season is quickly coming to an end! As they say, time flies when you are having a good time. I would like to thank the Lankford's and the Adam's for allowing all of us to gather together this summer at the cabin on Lake Martin. It has indeed been a nice ride. The wake board, knee board and ski's have all been conquered this Summer. Cameron is usually the only one that knee boards during the summer and he has not gotten to do it as often as he likes in the past years. But, this year there were many more opportunities (not to mention more drivers) for Cameron and anyone else who wanted a ride to dive in. The wake board is a new endeavor for everyone. I have not gotten brave enough to try any form of skiing yet for the fear of the fall, but I did learn to drive the boat. ;-)

I still have a lot to learn, but there is always next year! Cameron has worked so hard on our boat to make it what it is today. There is a lot of sweat equity in this boat!!!! Thanks Cameron! As you can see we had many successes and a few falls along the way. Of course, me and my trusty index finger where there to catch all those FANTASTIC moments.

Hannah has become a great knee boarder and wake boarder. Next year she will have to try the ski's! Good job Hannah! You are a great sport!

Drew likes to ride on "Pam's" boat. I think he means to say Cam, but I'll take it! Here is our fearless driver, Drew.

Even our fur babies got in on the water action. Honey is a MAD dog when it comes to the water! I think she would probably stay in the water non stop if Rhonda and Jerry would let her. My Kolby girl is not quite as excited to jump in, but we succeeded in getting her wet and that is an accomplishment in itself! Kolby usually avoids water at all cost! And yes, she is a lab.......... Max and Sam just like to ride on the boat and hang out on the pier. They don't like to get their hair wet! LOL! I think it is safe to say that they all had fun as well this summer.

At the start of this year I vowed that I would spend more time outside during the summer, take more trips and spend more time with family. I must say that my vow remains unbroken so far. Below is a collage of our family summer on Lake Martin.




It has been a wonderful summer full of memories and lots of fun. I know that I have had a wonderful summer and it would not have been the same without my family. Thanks for being so great and entertaining! As the sun sets on Lake Martin we look forward to a beautiful, cozy Fall as we head into the holiday season.
