Passing the Time........

So, I must admit that I have never baked a pound cake before! Pound cakes have always been very intimidating to me for some reason. I usually only just bake boxed cake mix. However, I was volunteered by my dear, sweet husband to bake a Sour Cream Pound Cake. With a little guidance from Rhonda in finding a Paula Deen recipe I decided to give it a whirl.....What's the worst that could happen?!?! Any who.....it turned out pretty well if I do say so myself. AND.....It tasted pretty good too! I have probably already gained five pounds!

I have also just finished the book "Redeeming Love". Wow! What a great book! I could not stop reading (except when Annabelle demanded my attention). This book was truly moving and such a wonderful story!

I have also been doing a few projects around the house. I have updated the mantel with a brighter look.

Rhonda had gotten white letters for Annabelle, but they did not stand out against the pale yellow walls in her nursery. I found stickers at Hobby Lobby and put them on the letters to make them stand out a bit better.

I have one more project for Annabelle's room. I am working on a picture collage to go above her dresser. Hopefully, it will turn out good. I have a vision in my head of what it will (should) look like. Soon, we shall see if my vision comes to life. Until Next time. XOXO!

Busy Days, Busy Nights......

The last couple of weeks have been quite busy for Miss Annabelle and myself. Annabelle has attended a few family events, met lots of new people, taken her first elevator ride, stayed with Ronnie for the first time and turned 2 months old. Wow! They may not seem like much to the naked eye, but for a baby (and her mom) that is a lot! To start things off we had a birthday dinner for Cameron and Kasi at Rhonda's house. Henry has gotten so big and is full steam ahead these days.

The following Friday Cameron and I attended Chris Spann's rehearsal and dinner for his upcoming nuptials. We left Annabelle for the first time. She was in good hands with Papa and Ronnie. We had a fabulous dinner with friends that night at Cecil's. Then........it burned down! At least we got to eat there one more time.

On Saturday we attended the wedding where Cameron was the best man. It was beautiful and long overdue. We had the opportunity to take a few pictures of our family. It was truly a gorgeous day.

Cameron and his girlfriend! How sweet! LOL!

Sadly, Cameron was behind the camera. I wish he was in this one with us!

I thought this one of Jerry and Rhonda was pretty good!

On Sunday, Cameron and I went to Prattville to visit Bass Pro Shop. Cameron finally purchased the gun safe he has been wanting for a while. We have a little more motivation these days. This baby girl doesn't need to get a hold of any of these guns! Annabelle slept through the whole visit. She had her first elevator ride and her first "real" stroller ride. I don't consider the bumpy attempt down our rode as a true stroll........

On Monday, March 20th, Annabelle turned two months old. She is getting so big! We go to the doctor next week. I am excited to see how much more she has grown since our last visit.

I call this "The Lip"! This was before she ate. She was getting restless.....

This was after she ate.........so relaxed.

This one is funny! She looks so serious! Look at that fist balled up. Maybe she was pooping!

Well, I guess that is about all for now. We have to get back to eating, pooping and growing. Annabelle is getting bigger every day and is becoming more aware of her surroundings. She is getting so strong. She lifts her head like she is in charge! Until next time......XOXO!

Lately......

Annabelle and I have been super busy lately with eating, pooping and sleeping! That is life these days. We  have also had a few visitors and went to lunch with Daddy several times. It is so nice to get out of the house. I am truly enjoying being at home and I am really dreading the day I have to go back to work. In the meantime I am enjoying the time I get to spend with my little angel. Here are a few pictures for your viewing pleasure.......... ;-)

This was her first time sleeping in her crib. It did not last long.......(the picture is not great because I cut the flash off so I wouldn't wake her)

Annabelle in her monkey seat with hands held high. This is how she likes to sleep when we don't lock her down in a blanket.

The first time in her Bumbo seat given to her by Aunt Kasi. She is so tiny!

These are a few pictures I took of her the other day. I laid her by the front door with the blinds open and she just gazed outside. I think she enjoyed it!

We went for our first walk in the stroller today. Let me just say that there was nothing smooth about our walk. This road is so bumpy that we just turned around and came back home. Next time we will go down the road to the track for our walk. However, Annabelle slept like a champ the whole time. I was pleasantly surprised!

How sweet is this girl!?!?

I loved both of these picture even though they are similar so I posted them both. Annabelle is such a beautiful baby! (though, I may be a little biased)

That is all folks! Hope you enjoyed my photo gallery. Until we meet again.............XOXO
