Independence Day!!!

"I'm proud to be an American, where at least I know I'm free. And I won't forget the men who died, who gave that right to me........"

Words that we should all remember everyday of our lives. Sometimes we tend to loose sight of our blessings in the midst of all of the chaos in our world. Many lives have been sacrificed to allow us the freedom that we have today. As Americans we should hold true to that fact and NEVER let anyone take away our right to be free.

On a lighter note, I love when the 4th of July rolls around each year! I must say there is nothing like spending the day at the lake with my family. Lake Martin is the BEST! We have luckily been able to spend a lot more time on the lake this year. It is a beautiful place and the perfect locale for summer fun. There is always good food, good fun and fabulous people to share it all with on a hot summer day. Thanks to Russell Lands we get to witness a wonderful display of fireworks each year. Thousands gather on Lake Martin by land and water to witness a fabulous light show. This year the weather great! It was not too hot and the water was perfect! If you are ever in the area on the 4th of July check out the show. The best view, in my opinion, is at the amphitheater at Kwaliga. You are literally right under the fireworks! It is great fun! Hope everyone had a great 4th of July. Until next time........XOXO

Cameron

I must admit, the moment I saw Cameron Lankford walk into Big B Barbecue I knew I was in trouble. I tried to keep it just friends, but Cameron had other plans. Let's just say that "Being Persistent" doesn't even cover it! I think that God knew I needed this man in my life! I have got to be just about the luckiest girl in the world to have been blessed with a strong, confident and handsome husband. Cameron has his faults, as we all do, but I consider myself so blessed to have someone who loves me for exactly who I am without judgement. I could not have asked for a better husband or best friend. I can't imagine my life without this man. I am excited that I am lucky enough to be able to grow old with him by my side.

Cameron, I love you more than you could ever imagine. I may not tell you enough, but you are such a wonderful man. God gave you a wonderful family to guide you and teach you what love really means. You have been through things that most of us could never imagine. It has made you so strong. I thank you for being our protector and for choosing me. XOXO

A new endeavor!

So I figure if everyone else is doing it why shouldn't I join the crowd?!?! Although I do not have any children, as of yet, I figure that I still have a wonderful life so why not share. I am new at this blogging thing, but I am confident that I can catch-on quickly. So here I go........try to keep up! ;-)
