The Auburn Tigers are the 2010 BCS National Champions!!!!!
What better way to start off the New Year than to be a part of this historic and exciting moment!!! Although I was not able to be in Glendale, Arizona last night I was certainly there in spirit! I am beyond excited that our Auburn Tigers were able to bring home the National Championship title and another SEC National Championship win and I got to watch it happen! WOW!!! At the start of this game of was feeling all kinds of emotions that I did not expect! My heart was racing and I was so nervous! I can't even imagine how the players felt in that moment. I was not expecting the eagle to make an appearance in Arizona so when I saw our beautiful eagle flying it made me want to cry..........
In the end it came down to a field goal kick by none other than Wes Byrum who has become so reliable in those pivital moments. As Cameron said....how fitting is it that Byrum gets the winning field goal of the National Cahmpionship game to end his career at Auburn University! So the tigers ended the night with a 22-19 win over the ducks to bring home the trophy. I am soooo proud to be a part of the Auburn Family! Here are some pictures from the big game.......
Of course, no matter where our victory takes place the Auburn fans never let the tradition of rolling the tree at Toomer's Corner slide by..............I hear they even showed this on the big screen at the stadium in Glendale!
This was such an emotional night for all of Auburn! I must say that even though Cam Newton was not the MVP of this game he will always be loved by the Auburn family. I had a feeling he got hurt when he was hit in the back, but he did not complain or sit out. Cam played as hard as he could while in pain until the very end and, of course, still gave us that million dollar smile that we have come to love. If Cam decides to move on the the NFL he will be missed by the Auburn fans. I wish Cam Newton luck in whatever his future may hold. War Cam Eagle!!!!!!
Weagle, Weagle, War Damn Eagle!!!!!
XOXO Pamela
