The Newest Addition.......

For so many years now Rhonda has been asking for a grandchild. Well...................Kasi finally answered her prayers! William Henry Lamberth arrived on October 21st and weighed 7 lbs 12 oz. Kasi and baby are doing great and are getting settled in at home. William Henry is super cute and very sweet! I can't wait to hold him again! Having a baby is a major adjustment and a big responsibility. But, you could not ask for better parents than Hank and Kasi! Hopefully, Hank and Kasi are adjusting smoothly to having a new baby in the house. It is such a huge change, but I can imagine that it is totally worth it! I am so excited to have another nephew in my life. At least I am familiar with boys. I just wish that they lived a little (or a lot) closer so that we could visit more often. I guess we will just have to make more trips to Atlanta. I know Rhonda will become more familiar with the Atlanta area. Congradulations Kasi and Hank! Congradulations Papa and Ronnie! Welcome to the family baby boy! We are all excited to finally meet you and watch you grow and learn.

XOXO ;-)

A Sad Goodbye...........

There are times in our life that each one of us has to deal with heartache. On October 15th we lost a beautiful, loyal part of our family. Molly Brown........ Words cannot express the saddness that we all feel over this loss, especially Rhonda. It is alway hard to loose a loved one. As a big dog lover I understand how much we grow to love our animals. They truly are like our children. I cannot believe that she is really gone. Molly will be missed and will remain forever in our hearts.

Do you remember the time Molly dug a hole in the bathroom wall at the Briarwood house? I guess she REALLY wanted out of that bathroom! How about the time she got loose at the gas station on 280 and Rhonda and Jerry where running down Highway 280 trying to catch Molly. LOL! Oh, to have seen that in person! Molly loved to play fetch. If you did not throw her ball when she wanted she would bark at you until you played along. Molly did not care much for Max and Sam and I am pretty sure that she hated Kolby. When Max and Sam visited, Molly would corral them in a corner or under a table. LOL! We decided it was best just to keep Kolby and Molly far apart to avoid a fight. Even though she was a small dog, Molly was not afraid to let you know who was the boss. There are so many great memories of Molly Brown. October 15th was the saddest day that I have experienced in a long time! My heart goes out to Rhonda. I know how much pain she is in right now and I will pray for her heart to mend. Goodbye Molly. I know that you are in heaven with little doggy angel wings looking down on us. Rest in peace sweet girl.

Busy Days, Busy Nights.....

So it has been a while since I have posted anything new, but it is not from the lack of happenings. I have been very busy the last few weeks! Though I thought about posting I just have not had the time. So here is what has been happening in my life lately.........

Downtown Opelika host "On The Tracks" wine tasting semiannually. It takes lots of preparation to get all of this done. My office, Ingrum, Rice & Parr, LLC, participates in the event as a trail stop.

We spent many hours getting the office decorated and the food prepared. I must say......I will NEVER make oreo balls again!! That is the longest process of making candy I have ever participated in and they are way too sweet for me to eat anyway! So all that work and no satifaction! I will just stick with my chocolate covered strawberries!! Anyway, here is a peek of what us girls prepared for the wine tasting.

As Friday night and all of that work was behind me I had to prepare for a wedding that I was lucky to be a part of on Saturday. I planned to get a spray tan that morning, but it never worked out. I helped Jennifer, the bride, set up for a couple of hours that morning then I had to get home and get myself ready (the wedding was like 5 minutes from my house). It was a beautiful afternoon and a great wedding. Jennifer and Jonathan together have five children and each of them got to be a part of the wedding. The reception was full of great food and even fireworks.

And of course, later that evening we got to watch Auburn beat Kentucky........who could ask for more!

The following weekend Cameron had to work a tailgate at the Auburn v. Arkansas game on Saturday so I decided I would go help. The Army was kind enough to give us free tickets to the game for doing the tailgate. What a game!!!! It was awesome! I got worried for a minute, but the Auburn Tigers did their job in the end. So we are 7-0! Hopefully, we can keep the winning streak going with LSU. We will get to go to that game as well! Yay!

We are not done just yet............Miss Halaina Jane turned two on October 14th and we attended her birthday bash on Sunday. It was a great party and the birthday girl got lots of new goodies to play with and wear. She even had her own personal cake!

That is all I have for now. Next BIG (or little) event will be Kasi delivering the newest edition to the family. Little William Henry.....I can't wait to meet him! XOXO
