Special Report

So contrary to my previous statement regarding Annabelle's tooth.......I was wrong! I noticed this morning that she was doing something weird with her tongue, but I did not think much about it.  This afternoon Annabelle and I were sitting together and she grabbed my hand and bit my finger. To my surprise I felt something sharp. I rubbed her bottom gum and to my excitement I felt a TOOTH! You can see the very top of the tooth coming through. I never thought I would be so excited and proud of a tooth. She totally feels it. She has been rubbing her tongue on it all day. I just did not realize that was what she was doing in the beginning. This post marks the day we saw and felt Annabelle's very first tooth! My baby girl is growing so fast! We have had such a great weekend. She is such a happy baby and loves to be loved. Annabelle is my heart. I am so proud to be her mother.  XOXO

Time Sure Flies by........When Your Having Fun!

So I have realized that I clearly do not have time to work on my blog. It seems as though all I can manage is once a month and that barely happens. So here's the conglomeration of August. We started out the month with a bang. Literally. I had just put Annabelle down for a nap when I received a call from the hubs saying, "I have been in an accident. I am fine. I just wanted to let you know." To which I said, "WHAT!?!" Thinking I must have misunderstood. Sadly, it is true. Cameron is fine, thankfully. However, he has been having problems with his right leg due to the amount of force he used pushing the brakes trying to stop the truck. I am glad he likes big trucks! It could have been a lot worse. Thank the Lord no one was seriously injured, but both vehicles were totaled. Our beautiful Z-71 gave her life protecting Cameron. So we have bid farewell to the truck. I was a little sad to see her go......... :-(

On a brighter note, Annabelle had her very first swim in the lake (with Daddy's help, of course) and she really seemed to love it. She knew exactly what to do as soon as she touched the water. Splash! She would have stayed longer, but that 'ol Mom decided she was tired and had been in the sun to long.......Next year she will be full force. I am sure Henry will show her how it's done. I have a hard time choosing between Annabelle's pictures. It's totally her fault for being so darn adorable!

What a gorgeous baby! ;-)

 God I love this baby!

On August 20th Annabelle turned 7 months! I can hardly believe it has been 7 months already. On one hand it feels like time has flown by, but on the other I feel like Annabelle always been a part of my life. I vaguely remember what is was like before Annabelle. Maybe I am just too tired to really think about it......I wouldn't trade this sweet girl for anything in the world. Sometimes I look at her and I am in disbelief that this beautiful, sweet baby girl is mine. I told Cameron the other day that I knew I wanted to baby and I knew I would love a baby, but you could never understand what love truly is until you have a child. I am one lucky momma! Annabelle is a scooter! She is everywhere. I guess she figured out that she can move around on her own and decided that she needs to explore. She is her happiest in the floor checking out everything. Still no first tooth, but it has to be soon. She has been working on that first tooth for a while now.......

What? You said be sweet to the giraffe?!?!

 I'll show you sweet.....

I love the look on her face in this one. She is really taking in that giraffe.

We are all so excited that Hank, Kasi and Henry have moved back to Auburn! Last weekend we helped Kasi and Two Men in a Truck move into their new home right down the road. Hopefully, they will love it here and stick around. I would love for Henry and Annabelle to grow up together. Aren't they just so sweet!

Annabelle had an art project at daycare. The first one got lost so this is her first homemade art for school. So mommy and Annabelle created a masterpiece. Obviously, Annabelle is way to young so I did it for her. I worked long and hard gluing each piece of paper onto this apple. About half way through I asked myself, "What the heck was I thinking!" It took way longer than I expected and my OCD kicked in and I just couldn't walk away. I think it turned out really well. If I do say so myself....

I have been having some issues with my stomach. I finally decided to go to the doctor because things were not getting better. Only worse. So after some meds, an ultrasound and a HIDA scan it has been determined that I have multiple gall stones. The doctor's office is going to make me an appointment with a surgeon to discuss what needs to be done. I am anxious to get this party started! I am tired of being scared to eat and being in pain. It doesn't happen everyday, but when it does it is very painful. Anyhow, I will have more information soon and we will take it from there. I am not excited about the prospect of having surgery, but if it must be then I pray it fixes the problem.

Well, I think the just about covers things up to this point. Until next time......XOXO!

My Girl

Annabelle had her 6 month appointment last Friday and she passed with flying colors! My girl now weighs a whole 15 pounds (25 percentile) and is 26 inches (50 percentile). I can't believe how much she has grown! The doctor said, "She should start crawling around nine months." Little did she know my little super star is already becoming mobile. She does not have her tummy off the floor yet, but she is very mobile and knows exactly what she wants.  If she sees a toy she wants she goes after it. Annabelle has also become one big squirm! Just put her on the floor and let her go. That is the best course of action. She is such a doll face! I am so proud that she is growing so well and learning so quickly. I am sure it doesn't hurt that she watches all the other kids at daycare. I told Cameron that at this rate she is going to end up being the shortest little walker around. Give her the chance and she stands.

Another new thing is Annabelle's curiosity. We lowered her mattress in her crib in preparation for her soon to be new talents. She is wearing out her bumper pad! She pulls it down so that she can see through the rails. She has even fallen asleep with her hand and head laying on it. She is becoming a mess! If you haven't seen her in a while you will be surprised by the changes. They really do grow up fast!!!! Until next time! XOXO

July. A Few Last Moments.

Annabelle had a couple more things to check off for the month of July. First she got a new swing from my mother and we had to try it out. She was a little scared at first, but that might have been due to the height of her first ride courtesy of her daddy. LOL. Annabelle seems to enjoy spending time outside looking around at the world.

We also celebrated Uncle Hank's birthday which was on July 28th. One more year until the Big 3-0! Enjoy your last year in your twenties Hank. There is nothing different about the thirties. Trust me! Life is what you make it. We are all very blessed. Happy Birthday!

We have so much more to accomplish this year. Annabelle is well on her way to both sitting up and crawling. Stay tuned.......XOXO
