As many of you know, Cameron and I have been trying to start a family for a while. It has been almost 2 years now that we have been actively pursuing having a baby. We have never really tried to prevent getting pregnant, but it just has not happened.Who knew having a baby could be sooooo difficult (for me anyway)! I have been poked and prodded with nothing to show for it but some scars and currently some bruises. I have been through so many emotions. Hope, anger, sadness and even a little depression. Right now I am back in the hope stage, but I am tired. It is hard to see so many people (like at least 10) around me having babies when that is what I have wanted for such a long time. Of course, I am happy for everyone, but it is still hard. I know I sound like I am whining here and I apologize. Moving on.........
I have been going to a fertility specialist since February. I started treatments about two weeks ago. I have been going to Columbus every other day! My poor veins have had about all they can take of those needles. They draw blood every time I go. However, this is all for a great reason so I will suffer through......LOL! The good doctor says that everything is progressing well and I should be able to get the next dose of medicine on Friday (another needle, of course). I have several viable follicles. The nurse said to me, "This could be a risk of multiples." Let's hope no more than two..............I thought that maybe I should just keep this all quite, but I figure the more prayers that are going up to God the better chance we have of making this dream a reality. If this cycle doesn't work then we can try again next month and the next and the next. Let's just hope this works the first time!!!!!! I don't know if I can do this for too long! If this treatment does not work then there is nothing else we can do short of winning the lottery. Our insurance will not cover any other treatment and, well, we just cannot afford to pay thousands of dollars. So here is my request from my family and friends......Please pray that my body cooperates and the meds work. Maybe, if all goes well, we could be pregnant in the next month! Parenthood is a scarry thought, but I can't wait!

The Big 3-0!!!!!!
Many people feel depressed about turning 30! I have heard many stories of how your whole life changes, your body changes, you stress level changes, your energy level changes............blah, blah, blah! I feel the same as I did a month ago. I think people worry to much about getting older these days. It is a part of life! I always say to people when they are complaining about their age, "Getting older is better than the alternative" and I try to always remember that......
My 30th birthday was great! It started on Friday at work. A friend decorated my office, we all went to lunch together, ate really yummy cupcakes and some of my co-workers got me gifts (which was super nice and I did not expect). The past few years we have taken a family trip in April and it always seemed to land on my birthday. This year there was no trip, but I had a party at the lake with family. I love Lake Martin and I thought having the party at the cabin could be our way of getting Spring rolling and start enjoying the lake again. Of course, you all know how I love my pictures and I got lots of great ones! Enjoy!
We had a lot fun and I received lots of great gifts. Thanks for celebrating my birthday with me! I love family time and I hope we are able to spend lots of time on the lake very soon! I hope this year will be filled with many surprises and happy memories. Here's to another10 50 years!

Henry was spending a little time on Uncle Cam's shoulders!
Tyler and Zach had lots of fun outside playing in the sand. Zach was finding "sea shells" in the sand! His pockets were so full we decided to get him a little bag.
Hank decided to introduce Henry to the water. It was OK at first, but Henry ultimately decided that he did not like the cold water. As you can see from the look on his face.....(BTW, the sun was so bright that I did my best editing these pictures. The best result was to make them black and white.)
I got so many good pictures of the Lamberth family. Here are a few of my favorites...........

March Madness!!
So it has been a while since I have posted on my blog! Not from the lack of desire or events, but I have just been busy with life and all that it in tells (work, cleaning house, sprucing up the yard and flower beds, parties). Sometimes we get to wrapped up being BUSY that we don't take the time to relax and breathe. So today is just for me! I have so many projects that I want to accomplish beginning with my blog! I think this Summer I am going to slow down the pace and not take the simple things in life for granted! Is it really necessary to rush through life? I think not.......
March was busy, but we always find time for family. Cameron and Kasi had birthdays in March (as did Kelley and Betty) so we decided to throw a party.
Drew and Henry were having their own little conversation. I wonder what Henry is thinking in this moment? Maybe....."Who is this little person in front on me and what in the world is this bright, shiny thing? I wonder is I can fit it in my mouth?" LOL! Kids are too cute and have their own way of communicating that we will never fully understand.
Apparently, there is something in the water that is causing a baby boom. Would someone please share the water with me! LOL! I know about 10 people who are pregnant or have recently had a baby. Two girls at my office found out they were preggers in the fall (one of which is no longer with the office). So I thought it would be nice to give Tonya a small office baby shower. So us girls pitched in and pull things together. This will be her second child and she is expecting a baby boy.

Drew wanted to help blow out the candles.
We had lots of family in attendance and lots of good food.

I get the feeling that Drew loves the Ninja Turtles! Did anyone else get that impression? Not sure which one he wants to be, but he claims that he is in fact a Ninja Turtle! Too Cute!!!!
Of course, we cannot leave out pictures of Henry! He is just too adorable and those blues are beautiful! Kasi and Hank sure did a good job on this baby!
So, Honey joined the party and she spent her time on the pet kennel on the back porch. Kolby was beside her, but she was granted freedom! Drew decided that he wanted to be caged! Be careful what you wish for Drew! You may find out that you DO sometimes get what you ask for.......

I thought she needed to feel special so I got her a crown.........
Tonya is doing a jungle theme for her nursery.
(for some reason my camera did not do well with the lighting and shadows in our conference room. Not sure what happened.)
So March as passed and Spring has sprung. Let's all try to enjoy this beautiful weather while it last. See you all soon!
XOXO Pamela
